Bell Rock is one of Sedona's most popular sites. The unique rock formation has been created from millions of years of differential erosion. The relatively hard capstone, consisting of Fort Apache limestone, protects the top of Bell Rock while the lower layers of sedimentary rock are more susceptible to erosion. This area is considered an energy vortex and is a popular destination for those interested in experiencing such places or for those just curious to see what the fuss is all about.
