Slide Rock State Park in the Red Rock Country north of Sedona, Arizona was listed by Life Magazine as one of America�s ten most beautiful swimming holes. Oak Creek flows through the creek bed of Oak Creek Canyon with its towering thousand foot cliffs. The canyon cuts through the Mogollon Rim and is fed by rain, snow melt from the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff, and underground springs. Oak Creek is the only continuously running river in Arizona besides the mighty Colorado River. The Park is managed in partnership by the U. S. Forest Service and the Arizona State Parks Department.
